I am a life long Democrat going back to when I was 9 years old and looked up to RFK, but I always had respect for those in the Republican Party for the most part. I did not agree with the policies that they put forth, but I did respected their discourse and believed that in their minds they thought they were doing what was best for the country. Well, now the Republican party belongs to Trump. That means those that support him for their own selfish motives, support his rhetoric of fear, hate, revenge and lies. Hiding behind some holier than thou masks while they support racism, sexism, manipulation for personal gain. I cannot believe the heroes of the party that I cheer for, Mike Pence and Liz Cheney while the rest of the cowards spin reality to save their asses as they watch democracy crumble. History repeats itself because few living were alive at the time past horrors occurred. There is no defense, there is no argument, only right and wrong. If you follow a leader of hate, and fear you share his values. I miss the Republican party.
